Temporary wonderlands, ceremony sites and reception halls are transformed from brick and mortar to storybook settings thanks to otherworldly inspiration. One of our favorite places to scout for original ideas is Pinterest. No doubt you've heard of the social media hotspot, and possibly have your own account, but do you have a wedding board?
The genius of this cannot be overstated. Collecting wedding-related ideas on a virtual board does several things for you. First, it is a much cleaner process than the alternative: tearing photographs from magazines and pasting them into a notebook. Second, it mirrors your taste and reflects your genuine vision--thwarting indecision. Third, it is accessible to all of your vendors, thereby keeping everyone on the same page...or board. And finally, it allows you to experiment with color and design--consequence free. Be as creative, risky, fun, or imaginative as you like on one board or several. Title them by theme or color or season. Find other brides to 'follow' and be an inspiration to them as well. But most of all, have fun doing it!
