Generous Gifts

Bridal Party attire- $200.00. Hair and makeup- $90.00. Travel and accommodations- $500.00. Wedding gift- $75. The list of what costs your bridal party can incur goes on and on. All to be there to support your new life. To share with all your friends and family that they are part of your story. And plan to be forever.

So what in the world can you do to show your thanks?

Yes, etiquette dictates that you cover lodging or attire. But not many people can do that. Especially when they have 6, 7, 8 or more on each side in their wedding party. Instead, (or in addition), current trends suggest that you offer those bridal party members a gift. All members. From the flower girl to house party.

But what to get them? Of course you can say you’ll give the bridesmaid’s jewelry to wear during the wedding or flasks for the groomsmen to use when they aren’t supposed to. But those don’t show how special the honor is of having them a part of your big day. Besides, depending on how many weddings you get invited to be in, you could have quite the collection of monogrammed flasks.

So get creative!

Monograms are still really popular with female friends. One of the current trends is towel wraps. You can do initials or full names and have the towel and thread in your wedding colors. This is something useful and youthful, and definitely something that your wedding party would use again. These can be found at countless local retailers and online stores.

Something else ladies love is a trip to the spa. This is also useful in spending time together the day of the wedding. You can arrange for massages, and manicures and pedicures to get your girls feeling rested and beautiful!

A really unique (and maybe even a cross-gender) gift is personalized cooler chairs. This gift idea is unique and something that is guaranteed to be a big hit.

Another great idea for the ladies in your wedding is to get individual gifts based on each ladies’ love or hobby. Why not a great clutch if she loves going out for a night on the town? Or for example, if one of your ladies loves cooking, or sushi, why not get her a sushi set? We like the set found at http://www.mybridesmaidsgifts.com/japanese-bowl-chopsticks-set-gbr432.html.

Now, men can be a little tougher for several reasons. The first is that they just don’t care. Buy them some beer and a round of golf, and most of them would be pleased as a peach. The other reason is that they are tougher to buy for. Monogrammed items are not as current as they use to be. So flasks and cuff links are out.

Guys are best pleased when given something useful. Try a Swiss Army knife. Today there are so many models to choose from. Some even have staplers in them for the practical businessman!

But guys are also pleased with something cool. A unique idea that would be seen in every man cave in your wedding party is a personalized pub sign. Check out the ones at http://www.mygroomsmengifts.com/personalized-pub-signs-dsgc268.html. There are several different styles to choose from- you can get creative, funny, or sentimental. And think of all the fun you would have explaining why you chose each one!

For those guys who are sports enthusiasts, anything legendary is a good gift. Get a classic Rawlings baseball bat with their name on it or a personal message. http://www.mygroomsmengifts.com/rawbasbat.html.

Whatever your budget and personal style is, make sure that you really consider what would be used and loved by your wedding party. Of course, just being asked to stand up with you as you take the most important vows of your life should be gift enough. But pay attention to the lengths that each and every one of them have to go through to be a part of that. Because the relationships that you build are the greatest gift of all.
